Ibiza Town

Ibiza Town or Eivissa in Catalan is a city located on the southeastern coast of the island rich of shops, nightlife, unparalleled restaurants, bars, and cafes and magnificent historic buildings, from the old town, the Dalt Vila to the sublime avenue of Vara de Rey. This fantastic city is also a source of culture and art with a mix of galleries and museums, as well as all kinds of cultural events throughout the year.

Old Town
Ibiza is divided into three parts. The first is the Historic Center which is the comprehensive area of the fortified Dalt Vila, Portal de Ses Taules. Founded by the Phoenicians over 2500 years ago. You will still find traces of Arab culture.
Around the old port area, you will find pretty houses and buildings painted in white. In summer many people walk here during the day, at night the area is animated by the evening hippy market, where you can buy souvenirs.
If what you’re looking for is a pre-disco drink, then you can’t miss the many live music bars that are next to the harbor: it’s a great way to start the evening. The waterfront of the port was renovated in 2015 so, now, not only does it look new and elegant, but also plenty of space to walk around and take a look at the majestic yachts moored. A stage set up in the harbor hosts, in summer, several free events with famous DJs and is also the point of arrival for the annual Gay Pride parade in Ibiza.

New City
The second part is the New Town which includes all the rest of the plain where the most recent part of the city is located. There are pretty places like the central avenue of Vara de Rey with its magnificent townhouses dating back to the beginning of the last century, or the nearby Plaza del Parque, ideal for watching people from one of its many bars on one side of the square or from one of its stylish and quality restaurants on the other.

The Navy
Opposite the historic center, on the other side of the harbor, is the elegant and trendy Marina Botafoch. The colorful buildings and a large pedestrian promenade on Paseo Juan Carlos I, you can see skateboarders and a mix of tourists and locals.
In Marina Botafoch there are luxury restaurants as STK Ibiza or the romantic A Son de Mar,  Dalt Vila offer an excellent lunch menu, specializing in delicious rice and fish dishes.

In Ibiza City, a paradise for shoppers is waiting for you. In the area between the avenue of Avenida Bartolomé Roselló and Vara de Rey, you will find chain stores and lots of boutiques, large and small, selling everything from high-fashion garments to handmade items using fabrics from Indonesia.
